AIIMS MBBS 2019: Registrations begin today

AIIMS MBBS 2019: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is all set to start the basic registration process for the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) entrance examination 2019 today, November 30.
As per reports, the registration process of AIIMS MBBS 2019 is expected to start from 11 am.
The AIIMS entrance examination is a gateway to the most prestigious medical college in the country. Apart from the main centre in New Delhi which was established in 1956, there are six other colleges at various cities across India.

AIIMS MBBS 2019: Examination dates

The AIIMS MBBS exam will be conducted between May 25 and 26 next year.
For the PG admission, the exam is expected to be conducted on May 5, 2019.
Further, the MSc and Biotechnology exam is expected to be held on June 29.

AIIMS MBBS Registration 2019: How to apply

  • Go to the official website, aiimsexams.org
  • Click on the registration link
  • On the new page, read all the instructions carefully before filling the application form
  • Enter all the required information in the prescribed format
  • Upload all the relevant documents and submit the same.

Two tier registration process:

This year, the AIIMS MBBS aspirants shall have to register for the entrance exam in two phases. The AIIMS will conduct the basic registration till January 3, 2019.
The formalities of the final registration process will continue till March, 2019.
According to reports, the final Registration would commence in the month of February.

Educational qualification required:

All the candidates interested in applying should have passed /appearing/appeared in 12th class examination (in 10+2 scheme) or its equivalent with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and desirous of applying for MBBS course of AIIMS,' as per the eligibility norms set by the institute.
Also, the applicants must have scored minimum 60 per cent in the qualifying exam.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam details:

The entrance exam for admission to MBBS courses at AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS at Bathinda, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Deogarh, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Kalyani, Mangalagiri, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rae Bareli, Rishikesh and Telangana.

Exam timings:

The AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam will be held in two shifts:
  • 9 am to 12.30 pm
  • 3 pm to 6.30 pm.

AIIMS MBBS 2019: Exam pattern

  • Physics: 60 questions
  • Chemistry: 60 questions
  • Biology: 60 questions
  • General knowledge: 10 questions
  • Aptitude and logical thinking: 10 questions
Note: There are certain instructions and rules which candidates have to adhere by before the exam and while appearing for the exam.

Minimum marks to qualify:

The candidates from unreserved category must score at least 50 per cent, OBC (non-creamy layer) must score at least 45 per cent, and SC/ST must score at least 40 per cent in order to be considered eligible for further counselling process of AIIMS MBBS.

  • Last date for basic registration: January 3, 2019
  • Admit cards: May 15, 2019 onwards.
