CAT list of instructions for candidates

                         
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is all set to be held on November 25, 2018, and as per the latest notification by IIM Calcutta, there is a list of instructions for candidates which they will need to follow in order to appear in the examination.
So the candidates who will be appearing for the exam are advised not to panic at the last moment.
Here are some points that should be remembered before appearing for CAT 2018.

HERE'S WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED IN CAT 2018

Avoid Wearing Jackets: Jackets and footwear are not allowed inside the exam lab.

No metal jewelry: Candidates are not allowed to wear metal jewelry. If found wearing any, he/she would be asked to remove it.
No stationary items in lab: CAT aspirants will not be allowed to carry any stationary items to the test lab. They will be provided with a writing pad and a pen for rough calculation at the test centre.
No multiple attempts: Candidates have been restricted to attempt CAT 2018 more than once. If a candidate will attempt the exam multiple times or in both the slots, their candidature will be cancelled.
No use of the keyboard: CAT aspirants are not allowed to use the keyboards attached to their computer terminals during the exam. The answers for both MCQs and non-MCQs have to be selected in using the Mouse.

No family members or friends: Friends and family members of the candidates will not be allowed to accompany the candidates beyond the test centre

Candidates must check the reporting time of CAT 2018 here:

  • Data Interpretation

About CAT

According to the official release on IIM Calcutta's website, approximately 2.41 lakh candidates have applied successfully for CAT 2018.
CAT 2018 exam will be conducted in the computer-based format in the assigned examination laboratory at the test center.
